My name is Philip Jones, and 31. I started this sabbatical travel blog in 2025 during a much needed break from my career in finance. Originally from Jersey (the original one, not New Jersey), I spent 10 years working in London. Eventually, I decided it was time to explore the world – and I haven’t looked back.

While on sabbatical, I decided to join the digital nomad community. As a result, this blog was born. It started as a fun project, however, I hope it offers useful insights. I’ll be sharing travel tip tailored to sabbatical travel. Of course, they can also help with regular holiday planning.  

My journey kicked off in Central America and continued through South America. Every story is based on personal experience.
